Day 12 of 90 of our Bible reading plan and you should have read Leviticus 23 -27 or will read it today, if you’re reading along with me. Yay, today concludes Leviticus!

I’m not saying that because I’m being silly because I’m thrilled to be through with the book, I’m just excited that we’re moving forward. I’m going to be honest with you here and tell you that anytime I’ve went like this in the word, adamant to get from Point A to Point B, in a set time, I’ve hit roadblock after roadblock, the spiritual warfare trying to impede my Bible devotion time is real. It’s a problem. I’m just simply pleased to be progressing as we are.

All jokes set aside that I’ve maybe made towards my feelings concerning the book so far; Leviticus is important and I don’t mean to make light of the Lord’s redeeming working; please don’t think that I am. Whether it’s what we’ve seen in the Old Testament, the laws the Israelite’s were under pertaining to Leviticus and we’re talking about the the Lord’s redeeming working concerning the exodus, or we’re speaking of His redeeming work with and through our Christ, King Jesus, I understand there’s significance for everything in God’s word. I know that nothing will return void to us.

So tomorrow we read Numbers 1-8! This one has always been a zinger for me! Here’s something you should know about me . . . if the title of it has “Numbers” in it, I’m already looking for anything else to entertain my time because I want nothing to do with anything that has to do with numbers or the word numbers. Secondly, later on you’ll find that any thing with genealogy just isn’t my thing either. So yeah, I don’t even want to read about “twenty years old or more” or “the descendants of”. I’m just trying to be real with you. I feel I will be needing the most accountability this week, to keep me in the word and not “finding” or “allowing” myself to wander into doing other things. That may sound really silly but I – I know me and I know how I am when I read the book of Numbers and it hasn’t changed after all these years. The best indicator for future behavior is past behavior. Maybe you can pray with me, that the Lord would help me to focus and and give me a fresh, new desire in my heart to just really see something I haven’t seen before, or open me up to this book in a way I haven’t been before.
