Insert My Life Here

We’re making good pace and have completed day 36 of 90 in our reading plan. You’ll notice that I’ve blogged every day. Every day faithfully for the past three months even when I didn’t have much to say but not the last couple days. I have just had so much going on.

Let me say that this wasn’t easy for me to do, but it was necessary. Here’s the thing, I want my blogs to be meaningful when I write or when I don’t have something “meaningful” to say, I want to at least be able to have “something” to say and I feel like that’s not been me the past few weeks. I mean, I told everyone going into the new year that I didn’t know how much I would be writing about anything much because I was going to just blog every day that I “did” read as means of accountability to actually read the Bible every day. It’s hard. I had no intention of blogging about some profound thoughts of theology, no poetic memoirs and no dissertations.

I simply needed to plug in and be able to say hey, I read and this is a quick summary of what I saw as my eyes peeled back the Words of the pages.

I don’t know if you’ve actually ever sat down and read the Bible, really read it in long stretches, every day, when you’ve had little to no sleep, have a child with “new born feedings”, a husband that works at home now, and are dealing with some other stuff.

Well insert my life here.

<<<< this is me >>>>

I have been feeling “empty” in my writing and so the past few days I really haven’t even written and that kind of sucks because I had been doing it every day. The great thing about that is that God’s grace is present and I can start new. His mercies are new every morning and when I end one thing there’s potential for brand new beginnings, no matter how big of a bummer it was. This is true about so many things in life, not just my blog.

So what HAS been going on over here? Geeze, come on! I am not going to throw that at you, you don’t want to deal with that. My God will provide. I know this. My heart is just over budgeted for the month. I think we’re just trying to work on figuring this out. Life. Work. Play. So much in between I have to keep to myself because sometimes we don’t really get to “feel” what we feel; and that hurts us. Also there’s the feeding program in two months. Lord, please intercede, make it happen.

I started having anxiety attacks which is something I haven’t had to deal with in a very long time but if you’ve ever dealt with them then you know that they’re real and they’re a fight from hell. My heart hurts. I don’t want to face the fact that I’m struggling with anxiety (it’s not all the time but it comes and it makes me feel weak when it does). Really I just want to lay down and sleep. I’m not depressed but I do need sleep, I can’t remember the year I had a good night’s sleep. It’s been that long ago. We sacrifice for our children. I don’t know what it means to be able to lay my head on someones chest and just fall asleep and feel the comfort of that good night’s rest and I need that one good night of sleep; that’s something that doesn’t exist in my house.

Also that thing I said I wasn’t’ going to do. . . well I did it. I sent the rest of my paperwork back in last week. I don’t know what I’m doing.

So yeah, I definitely need some grace here.
