There are so many different platforms out there for bloggers and I sure made the rounds looking when I decided that I was going to start writing. I even went through a few different websites that are “free” for bloggers because I didn’t have the money to start my own site. Or so I thought. Besides, once I got serious about going forward with blogging, I knew that I would be using my blog as a means of income and that I would need a self-hosted WordPress platform for my blog if I was going to use it to earn money. In a few steps you could be up and officially BLOGGING!

1st: Choose A Package: The Basic package is $2.95/month using my link (the price goes up if you get a bigger package like Plus or Premium, this is just the Basic package! I actually use the Basic package myself but I’m frugal, I would totally go with Plus or Premium if I could but we’re saving money, and I mean pinching pennies. I could make a penny scream for mercy right now. As my blog grows I’m sure that I will upgrade to a bigger package, just choose what’s right for you, only you can decide what you need and want!)

2nd: After you choose your package you get to pick a domain name! YAY!!!! This is the fun part!

3rd: You’ll be prompted to select your account plan options where you choose if you’re purchasing for 1 year (12months), 2 years (24months), 3 years (36months) or 5 years (60months). I chose 3 years when I started my account but I’m just not sure if 5 years was an option when I chose mine or maybe I didn’t see it. Either way, I am happy with my decision to pick the 3 year option.
