Day 12: Pray for Posie

Day 12: Pray for Posie

Posie slept goodish last night . . . that’s probably not a word, but it’s fitting. She did wake up 4-5 x asking for a bottle BUT it was a one and done kind of thing. She asked for some milk, didn’t get it and then went back to sleep. She ate good at therapy all through the day.

Therapy

She took a nap this morning and then we went outside. The nurse at the nurses station said, “You won’t last 5 minutes!“, before we headed out. We went out for 10 minutes and then came back and made sure we let him know we were out there for a full TEN minutes before checking back in, he just laughed. It’s only 94 out, but it feels much hotter than that.

She walks this every time we head to feeding therapy

She got to FaceTime sister and dad and really enjoyed that, and she let them know what kind of birthday cake she wanted and what to pick out . . . so they were headed to the bakery to order her a birthday cake for next month.

It’s what’s for dinner! But it is smelly . . . hahaha!

I’ve been sick (enough so that I told one of my best girlfriends I legitimately think I have listeria . . . but whose fault is that? I have been eating vending machine sandwiches) and since I’m a little shaky I grabbed something downstairs. This was a much better option than the sandwich. Oh geeze, so I bought it and I wasn’t using half a brain at the time, came upstairs and opened it up thinking I’ll just sneak around and eat it in the room . . . y’all have smelled this stuff before right? There’s no hiding the fact that you’ve opened a can. Good night of living, I’m some kind of wonderful. Think it through next time, goofy!

Beating mama at a game of cards. Again!

So my girl is getting a couple visitors tomorrow, my friend is coming back and bringing her little 2 year old, it will be so nice! There’s not a lot to report, the weekends are pretty boring. Oh, she did play Tug of War with me again, and beat me, twice. She was very pleased with herself. I’m pretty thrilled about these naps she’s been taking in the morning, too. It’s nice to be able to have some time to unwind a little bit.

She counted the days on the calendar today and she got so excited. So excited! There are 18 empty boxes on the calendar that need a sticker placed on them leading up to coming home. She’s excited and I’m looking forward to a hot shower. This next week will be a big one for her as she gets introduced to even more new foods. She’s been doing so good and I believe she’s going to be so successful! Please pray for Posie!
