When was the best day of your life?
This came up on my Timehop For Facebook. It’s funny. I thought those things were so dumb when they first became a “thing” but now I sure am grateful for them. Especially for this.
I’m thankful for women like Golda who have poured into us younger ladies, and thankful for my tribe.

Today was the best day of my life.
Today I spent the morning with the people who I’ve called “home” the past 5+ years. I spent the morning with our small group at church – the place where we learn and grow and “do life” together in community. The Lord will always bring us what we need in His own perfect timing. Today as I struggled to make it to church after an all-nighter w/my young one, I was sweetly reminded of how faithful He is. He prompted me to speak, raw and real, on the struggles in my life and He then used the ladies in our group to remind me that my battles and struggles with my little ‘sick’ kid isn’t even about me – it’s about Him and how He will be glorified through this whole mess of an ordeal. It’s about who I’m becoming and the young lady my child will grow into and the testimony we’ll have from what He’s brought us thru – b/c He IS bringing us through it. As the girls gathered around me and laid hands on me to pray I was completely overwhelmed with the peace that the Lord flooded into my heart and my mind.
Today was the best day of my life.
It takes a few kind words and someone wiser than me in age to remind us younger ladies that the Lord is calling us to a purpose greater than ourselves. To encourage us to be real with one another and talking about the things that are holding us back. Someone to remind us to seek the Lord always and to bind every arrogant and rebellious idea in our minds and by the power of almighty God, demolish every stronghold opposing the will of God for our lives!
It’s fun to look back at the past and compare our ‘old’ selves with our new selves, to look back and compare how life was then and how it is now, and to look back on some of the best days of our lives and smile with gratitude that they are part of our story. It’s also fun to look forward to where we’re going, and I can’t wait for the best day of my life!
Confess to one another therefor your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
~James 5:16, AMP
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16
